I think it wouldn't belong anywhere. You keep your sick activities to yourself!

give the cat a bang with your hand and see what's up

i had a jeep grand cherokee in the other day at work who had a rock fly in and dented the cat. when you drove it, you could here the million pieces bouncing around inside. woohoo for a $1,150 y-pipe replacement that's what you get for going mudding...

on topic.. i think i'm going to buy a cheap testpipe for now so i can at least have the cat off the car. i can hear a metal whirring noise now and it's not pleasant

            update:

summitracing will honor the warranty since i purchased the cat from them. they said to fill out the return form on the original invoice, and even sent me an electronic shipping label to send it back to them for a replacement. if that isn't customer service, i dont know what else is

well, i do safety and emissions tests at work, so passing/failing for my sticker is not an issue

i just hate the smell of raw exhaust fumes, not to mention it isn't all that great for overall health. if this cat cooks again (crosses fingers), i'm going to request a refund and just run straight/test pipe. MA is getting rid of the dyno/sniff test for all pre-ODBII vehicles, which means our cb's will be exempt and only require a safety check every year in MA.

When does that go into effect?

when i first heard, they said end of July, early August. but we're still waiting on that to be confirmed.

some test centers have already gotten rid of their dyno machines. we hear they should all be gone by Oct./Nov.
