Help needed, Engine didnt want to start!..

Ok here is the deal. This week I have installed a few mods this week.
Aem CAI, and yesterday, I got new valve cover gaskets, new Bosch +4 plugs, and a full exhasut system (DNX catback). This morning I went to start my car and it didnt want to start. It was turning over but it didnt want fire up. When it did after 4 trys it was acting weird. like if i touched the gas, it would want to stall until about 30 seconds I was able to hold it down @ 2000 or whatever I wanted. Then my check trans light came on. I put some trany fluid in, it was a tad low, but maybe cuz it was cold out. Then I started it 2 more times tranny light on. I disconnected BATT. for 2 mins and tried again. Finally I just left.20 miles to school it was on, I dont think it will go off once it is on. But then I shut it off @ school, and started it back up fine, and no tranny light. At nite time is too much cold air getting into the exhaust or something? Please help, I dont want to deal with this everyday...
    Thanks.

hey hows it going, now one reason your car might not start is if you have no restrictions in your exhaust. There must be some backpressure in your exhaust otherwise you will have an extremely hard time starting your car. Believe me i have no restrictions and sometimes i need my friend to put his foot over my exhaust to help create backpressure. If you have a catalytic converter then you should have sufficient backpressure but if you removed it then well you will have problems. Now it could be one more thing, if you installed a header then you might of damaged the oxygen sensor and that would make your check engine light go on. If it is not damaged then did you touch it with your fingers because the oils on your skin will and can ruin the sensor so just ake sure that the oxygen sensor is not damaged or touched.

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I am almost @ 200,000. I get roughly around 375. I had to swap my gauge cluster and I dont think the fuel works correctly. So I always fill up when my tip hits 375 roughly. You said you spray simple green on it? How long do you let it sit?

i have the identical problem of the thread starter. The only mod I have done recently is a AEM short RAM intake. Is my engine getting too much cold air? Or is it something else? Please help and tell me why it takes 4 - 5 cranks to get my car to start at -10 degrees celcius.

                          thanks
