    Problems CONTINUED.....

ok,guys, today when I drove out to work,I revved a bit harder and the car was smoking again! I was really mad and went to the shop again during my break time. They checked and told me that the O-ring gone bad,yet they removed the old one and I took a look myself,it looked ok to me actually, not bended. But they told me it's that thing,so I was like,o,well, change it then. But then they told me that they didn't have that part in stock Telling me earlier and I would come back tomorrow which is my day off.Now they threw the old ring already and what I could do? Sigh,my boss called me cauz I didn't show up after the break and blah blah blah....... Ok,during the time I was waiting for that part, they checked my car again and told me the front pads were gone. I was thinking about driving like this for some more time but the chief mechanic said"now the pads are very low, don't come back after 2 weeks and complain to me that your rotor has been scrathed my friend."....I said ok change them then, but there was an issue later on after they changed the pads.My right tie rod was bad...........sigh,they told me I need both in and out,and quoted me 170 Canadian included everything plus tax, how's the price? Good? The only problem this would cause was they said the tire would wear more quickly than normal and I would feel the vibration sometimes.I do feel the vibration sometimes that's true. So,it's the tie rod then?

Another problem is,my left ABS wire,I don't know if it's called wire or not,it'sjust the line very close to the front brake area. That one was cut,I have no idea how that happened and the ALB light has been on for a long time.I though it was the relay first, now it's finally revealed,it's the wire. And they said I need new sensor as well.Do you guys think it's worth fixing it? Or just disconnect the brain in the trunk to kill that yellow light once for all?

I am trying my best to save money for fixing my car right now Seems that there is still a long way to go.After changing the pads today, next one should be cleaning the EGR myself, then the tie rod, vavle cover gasket, then ABS? O,I even got to know that dirver's side window motor was weak and needs to be replaced................There is always a period of time you will feel that you are unlucky,I think now is my turn Hope nothing more gonna show up recently,hopefully.......... When I was leaving the shop today, the mechanics all said"take care my friend, hope not to see you again shortly"..............

    Re: Problems CONTINUED.....

First off, which o-ring went bad? Distributor o-ring?

You could have changed the front pads yourself. Its fairly easy and should take 30 mins to do the entire front. The worst part is breaking the two bolts loose on the back of the caliper.

A shot tie rod is something worth replacing. $170CDN converts to $133USD. Its an ok price if you want to pay it. Get a 2nd opinion and see what some place else has to say, as it seems that this shop you're going to is seeing your car as a way to fund their boat payment (finding stuff wrong to make you freak out and pay to have it fixed).

As far as your ALB or ABS goes, FIX IT! It's there for a reason, not just to make pretty lights come on on the dash. Repair the wire and see if the ABS kicks in on a panic stop. If so, you're set. If not then it may be something else. You an always disconnect the recently repaired wire if the ABS starts freaking out.

Your drives side window needs some silicon lubricant in the track. Don't use WD-40 for this. Run to the local hardware store and get a can that has a long thin straw that attaches to the nozzle and then sloob up the window track. It'll make a world of difference, as the window will magically come to life and move freely.

An EGR valve should be less than $5CDN at any auto parts store. Don't try to clean it, just replace it with a new one, as they are pretty inexpensive.

EGR valves? are pretty expensive brand new.

probably get a cheap one at a junk yard.

Just battle each little problem, one at a time. Prioritize dude.

Sounds like you got it under control.

You need to solder those cut wire's together.

It will take 5 minutes tops, and will probably fix that light. I would almost bet that the sensor is ok.

        Start with the wires.
        Noobie my ASS.

As a general guage, how many miles does your car have?

I understand how that feels, at times you ponder whether or not to continue with something or just bolt out. Just like my car as well, at first it was like rotars, and what not, then dead struts, and stuff, and crack radiator. Well just saying, that you have to decide if it is worth continuing with the car and what not. Yes this is CB7 tuner, and what not. But you have to do what is best for you.

I am not convincing you to get a new car or what not, but just mentioning perhaps another side of things. For example, my car has 78k, and many times I ponder if it is worth putting money into the other things like aesthetics, and all that, and etc. But I've decided that I am not going to do much to the exterior as I don't think I can financially do it, not like I don't have the will. I figured it'd be more wise and practical that I use the money for stuff like AMBERs, GRILL, etc etc, for things like money for A/C, new tires soon, and, new brake, fluids, lube. Maybe I am coming from a different level. For me, I've decided that it is okay that I not do the aesthetic things, I have paint marks, paint scratches, etc etc. I don't think it is worth it for me to invest too much into it. But your car is clean inside and out. So that itself is another thing.

But to help you along, just take things one at a time. Go to another shop, perhaps a bigger named shop or something. Do the necessities for your car, like the brakes, and don't ignore the Engine codes and what not.

            Good luck !
            hahahahah

              thanx everyone for the input,appreciated!
Yeah, know what? It leaks again today.......... and I sent it back again, finally the problem is spotted right. It's the oil pressure switch that cause these thing. However, there is only one mechanic able to tell it when I first time sent it there, his idea was not taken since two other ones dd not think so inlucde one chief mechanic......... Now it SHOULD BE ok.It's not the filter,it's not the o-ring in the oil cooler,it's the pressure switch. It's leaking and bad. That's all this is about. And I felt bad after all these things. But well,I have to accpet it,I went to honda actually today, but they told me 50 dollars to take a look and fix extra and tax. That's what I can't accpet......
Well, that's a ok shop I think,I have been dealing with them for a long time. They did all the repairs and tune for me for a long time.Everyone there knows me and I trust them basically.I think the only reason that this time's issue occured was the wrong way that the chief mechanic thought at the very beginning.I don't blame them that much cauz nowdays car repariing is really expensive and it's difficult to find a shop that can do free inspection, maybe I am just too lazy to find one,or just cauz I am a guy that always trust the people I know for a long time.....
Well, for my car,it has 105000 miles on it if converted to miles.I actually owned it for a relatively short period of time. But I want to say the engine is very good, still strong, that's the thing I like. The weaks are the transmission and window motor, plus a bit trunk leak and a crappy repainted area at the gas door.I bought this car way lower than the market price,at that time I knew that it could indicated some problem might be with it.Yet I still took it cauz I wanna try a honda since my previous car was a toyota and I had a tight budget at that time. Lots of people have asked me if I would like to sell it to them,I myself even felt weired why those people liked my car that much.Once a mechanic told me that black ex-rs are not very easily found in lower mainland, that's the reason.I refused all the offers since I wanted to keep it for another year maybe. Then either H22a or sell it.See how much I have at that time.
I am gonna get my car tinted next week probably, metallic 25%.I am thinking about tinting it all,but one of my friends has been busted by the police many times for this.Still considering..........but metallic is really nice when looked outside, mirror like, lol.
Anyways,I am gonna live on this and see what will happen next, hopefully everything would be fine for a longer period of time.Thanx again guys.O and also,I put some lube into the window today and it did improve a lot, lol.good one!

yes, guys, now there is no leak, and I don't know why, after I changed the oil pressure switch this afternoon and reset the ecu this evening, the car is running cooler now,the temp gauge fall down a bit than usual and keep that way the whole night even after I revved high for several times and I feel the acceleration is smooth, better than before. My friend told me it's cauz the oil circulation is better now,is it?
