heat/cold knob - the knob wont go all the way to full cold unless i hold it there, any reason why it would do that? once i let go of the knob it goes about 1/4 way thru cold towards the heat.

u can check under the passenger side dash to see if anything is pulling/blocking the tempeture adjustment cables.
It looks like a throttle cable connected to a plastic braket loocking thing.

i think it's a cable problem also.
if the cable becomes unfixed, it will do that. the cable is fixed on the underside of the hvac control unit. the rest of it snakes through to the black box under the dash, it may also have a fixed point there as well. later.Comment

mine does this also. there's a plastic piece behind the knob within the HVAC unit that is cracked. i've just been too lazy to replace the unit. check out behind the know, see if it's cracked
