Grind into 3rd gear... HELP

Ok so i done all this matinance stuff today and i was trying to help my tranny considering when i go from 2nd to 3rd it grinds and then goes in i put royal purple syncromax high performance trans fluid in and hoped it would clear it up... But it did smoother ones on every other gear but it now i can shift from 2nd to 3rd and it will grind if i get it barely anywhere above 3 grand ... i feel like im screwed

First off, try making your title match what you asking, rather than just ???
Other than that, alot of the accord transmissions have this same lil grind going into 3rd. Its just syncros not exactly working right. If you do it right you can figure out how to stop it from doing this.

my 3rd gear also grinds if i go into 3rd to quick from 2nd, or downshift real quick from 4th or 5th. other than that, if i just drive normally and go into 3rd, it wont grind at all.

im planning to keep my tranny until 3rd goes out completely, then just swap in a reconstructed/used tranny.

yea im afraid i wont find another 5 speed

There is plenty of them out there, I'm sure you won't have a problem finding another 5 speed.

As for fluid, I've only used Honda MTF in my tranny.

yea the royal purple stuff i put in is 9.78 a quart... it made my gears feel like butter... but i still have the grind.

Hondas for some reason are notorious for that 3rd gear grind. Just drive it until it croaks on you. Might can get one from the junker pretty cheap.

Go to a transmission shop and change the syncros out. I highly recommend taking off the tranny yourself to avoid labor costs. That or deal with it and get yourself an H22.

EDIT: Did you put enough tranny fluid? And check your clutch fluid. Try bleeding it.

I just had my transmission rebuilt (1500 bucks!) and my car grinds SOME TIMES when i run it hard from first to second. And always from second to fifth. Yes I sometimes skip gears. Second pulls me to 70 and trying to go into fifth from second I have to hit either fourth or third (or just wait for my RPM's to go down) first even if I don't let off of the clutch before I go into fifth. The transmission is just spinning to quickly.

Better get that checked. I assume you have a warrenty with that?
