Crazy temp gauge needle

My temp gauge stays normal for 5 mins. then after it goes all the to the h and when im driving really fast or at a stop it goes down then when my blinkers are on it goes up and down. help me im

my car did this when my car was low on coolant, then i had to replace the thermostat. it also happened when i had a bad battery and bad alternator. after i did all those things the car worked fine.

I got a new sensor and just installed t.stat this weekend now the funny thing is that my temp gauage went straight to h but no signs of a leak no overheating at all,coolant was in the radiator and resavoir.

did you install the t.stat correctly? i would say just let it sit for a lil and see since they are no signs of overheating. but thats on you. hmm are your fans working? try testing your battery and alternator at autozone since your blinkers are affecting it too.

check your wiring for loose connections. Those wires under the dizzy get really hot and tend to get brittle over time. I had to resolder mine b/c it just ripped out of the sensor connector when I took it off.

It's not the wires on the dizzy I'm always under the hood and they look good. I installed my t.stat correctly but I haven't got my batt. checked yet

Not the dizzy wires the ONE RED Wire that goes to the Temp Guage Sensor. Look for damage to it.

yes, x2 the wire that leads DIRECTLY to the coolant sending unit, that one wire. Mine were all very brittle...the ones that go into the cylinder head.
