Just do what I did. do it and dont tell him. He will bitch at first and complain but they will get used to it. Now my dad doesnt even care.. you should have seen him when I first lowered my car.. well I am not telling you to do it I am just saying my experience.

Tell him the stock airbox is to reduce noise. thats probably the main reason its not a straight alu. pipe.
