abs problem

Any abs gurus here? Cause I sure the fu*k aint. My abs light comes on while I drive. I went to retrieve the code like I would for a CEL. It lights once, pause, lights once, pause, lights again done. The light seems to stay solid for the same amount of time each time it comes on.(btw I already searched)

Also my abs resovoir is overfull if that helps. I mean up to the brim. It was between the min and max lines before. So I'm not exactly sure what the deal is here. Supposedly the codes for Abs read different from CELS and to remove the light requires some special honda diagnostic tool or something.

Not that I would want to do that anyway, my abs is disabled and the light will come back on when the module deal runs its self test. Normally when I start the car and put in first to take off I can hear the modulator/pump whatever coming on. That does not happen anymore. I really like my abs..it works great...so........Anyone have a diagnostic chart or anything really cool like that? Thanks in advance

Alright people I Think I stumbled onto something here. The code I pulled is code 1. Its pump overrun code. The ABS control unit is programmed to set a Code 1 when it thinks that the pump has been running for more than 45 seconds, or the pressure switch does not close, or if the pressure in the ABS system is insufficient. I'm leaning towards pressure switch. Anyone have any experience with this? I'm not trying to get owned here.

I am getting the same code - pump overrun. Is there anything that I can do to avoid buying replacement parts that are valued at least half of what my car is worth. I have a factory manual here and all of the paths on the flow chart end in BIG $$$. I am hoping some one has a bleed here, tighten there trick up there sleeve. I was doing research in old bulletins and tech notes at work today and found out the you are supposed to bleed the system and replace with new fluid every 30k. You are also supposed to replace the ABS high pressure hose at every 60k. That is the first I have heard of that.

I am really hoping someone has a great secret trick.

go to the JY and get parts off of an ABS equipped car
