i have a leak somewhere that's been bugging me for quite some time. not only because it's annoying and loud, but because i can't pinpoint it. i can hear air RUSHING when i put the throttle down about 50%. it's inaudible to me in the cabin at light throttle or WOT. it sounds like when you open a 2 liter of soda for the first time, except extended for as long as i'm on 50% throttle. i'm almost certain it's an exhaust leak given the tone and instance of it. i've had the car on a lift multiple times while running, trying to pinpoint the leak. i never found anything coming out of exhaust joints or broken piping.
then i went on to check for a possible vacuum leak. i used carb cleaner all over the intake area while the car was running, and i never heard a change in RPM, so it's all good and sealed.
anyone have any other points on the car i should give a look at?
i'll try to get a video of it, but i dont know how well a camera can pick up the sound
