    Timing belt DIY???

    Hey guys how hard is it to change the timing belt??? cuz im not paying somebody 400 dollars to change that SOB.. help me out guys

    Get a haynes manual, It has a good walkthrough with lots of pictures. Its what I used when I changed my timing belts.

      really it's easy the only special tool you need is the crank removal tool. I got mine for 40 bucks. Every thing else is your standard tools. The one thing I highly suggest is that you change the seals too because if something happens to them you have to take it all apart again and if it leaks oil on the timing & balance shaft belt you will have to replace them again. These seals are cheap to buy and replace vs. buying another timing & balance shaft belt from Honda. One last thing only use HONDA timing & balance shaft belts and water pump!

            Not necessarily. I hit the crank pulley bolt on my friends 92' LX with a 3/4" impact running on a 175 psi air supply, and that bitch still didn't come lose. I had to use a huge ass breaker bar to get it loose.
