    Shifter Cables messed? Seized?

So my car has been sitting for over a year everything worked perfect. I went to drive it and it seems my shifter is hard as hell to get in gear. you need to use alot of strength to shift it and move it back and forth.

I thought it was the shifter seized I took it all apart and its NOT the shifter. I think it's the shifter cables.

Could it be a possibility that they are seized up? Now A new motor was installed and yeah.

I can't seem to figure it out

Yeah that is probably you best bet to just replace them. You could try to take them off and use some penetrating oil on them. Or get ones from the a junk yard.

Disconnect the cables at the gearbox (just a split pin and pull off at each cable). If the lever then moves freely (in all directions) the problem must be in the box.
