yeah well the thing is, I drained the rad completely and then filled it w/ distilled water and this WW stuff. So i guess i still have like 3 quarts of coolant circulating in my engine, through the hoses and stuff, in the cyl head etc. But the draining and filling i did do w/ this stuff and dist. water did help quite a bit. It doubles the wetting ability of water and provides better corrosion and rust protection. You can read more about it here:
    http://www.redlineoil.com/products_coolant.asp

and one bottle is good for 7 or 8 quarts so thats good enough for our engine's coolant capacity. I just got lazy and was so tired of working on my car that I only drained the rad and not the back of the engine block also. So, I guess i could further improve my cooling if I wanted to, but as long as its staying at just below the half line, i'm fine and dandy.

Coolant actually increases the cooling ability of water.

well its wierd though, they said w/ straight distilled water and WW, it ran at 200 degrees, w/ WW and coolant, it ran at 220. So it seems like the engine runs cooler w/ just plain distilled water and WW....according to Redline inc.

          ok here's something...

my car is still heating up. BUT i notice the temp gauge goes down when I turn, the hard I turn the more the temp goes down, but when I'm up in rpm's it goes up also. I bleed the system, now I'm about to completely remove the thermostat again, I dont know whats wrong.

weird, mine use to go up when i was sitting at a red light, since there was no airflow. But also prob. b/c it was so damn hot. Now its only about a 100 outside and my gauge is rock solid at just below half.

How is your coolant level? does it fluctuate at all?

did you try replacing your rad. cap? the cap could be faulty possibly.

That is the key...according to redline.

Chemically speaking, ethylene glycol improves the heat transfer and thus cooling properties of water.

also curious if that BLUE Honda coolant is superior to that green Prestone stuff I'm using. B/c when I went in to the dealer to buy my parts for the H.G., they recommended that I also get some of their Blue coolant. They said it works better or something.

                        cap is new...

i took out the thermostat and it did the same thing so thats not the problem, I'm going to take it on the highway today and see if it heats up, i noticed it smoke a lil bit after 3000 rpm. but it appears to be oil, doesn't smell sweet like burning coolant does and oil and coolant are not mixing, I;m going to change my plugs, 3 coolant sensors, and my radiator. if it still does it I'm going to say fauly water pump from when I ran the can for 3-4 months with straight water, or a cracked block....
