Coolant Drip-Drip-Dripping from Intake Manifold

I have a coolant leak that is visibly coming from the bottom of the intake maniofold, where it meets the head, on the passenger side.

Why is there coolant coming out of there? Do I just crawl under the car and tighten it up? The intake manifold gasket is new as of a year ago when I did a F22A6 Intake Manifold Swap. Please Help.

there are four coolant passages there as well as the through manifold one. i would start by retorquing your manifold nuts.

pray that it isn't leaking from that U shaped hose b/c thats a bitch to replace. Mine was leaking from the clamp portion since I guess in 15 yrs it rotted itself away.

But its most likey one of your hoses.

And btw, there are two coolant hoses coming from under the intake manifold, one plugs up to the thermostat and one I think to the FIV. IIRC.

It's not a hose, because I can look around and I can see it visibly dripping out from around the mating of the intake manifold and head.

okay then yeah there's a coolant leak from your gasket. If you look at the pic, see that bigger hole towards the right side of the gasket? thats where the coolant flows through. Before I installed it, I put some RTV silicone around both sides and then tightened the intake manifold to the cyl. head.

I would recommend that Bisimoto gasket, b/c its reuseable and doesn't transfer heat to the IM like the OEM one does.

So, do you suppose I can just take all the bolts off without removing anything, pull it back from the head, slide a new gasket in there and put the bolts all back on? Or is some shit gonna have to be removed?

its posible to do it but if you have gasket material stuck to the head or manifold your gonna have to take if off anyways. i say remove it completely.

well if the new gasket comes off in one piece then yeah. But when I took mine off, it just flaked off in pieces and I had to spend like a good 30 min. scraping w/ my razor blade.

And don't forget about the IM brace underneath. Its one 12mm screw holding the IM down attached to a bar also connected to the block.

Just wanted to thank you guys for your help. Also, one last question:
I seem to remember there being a certain way to tighten the nuts onto the studs on the head. There is a pattern right? Do you know what that pattern might be?

hey i thought my intake was leaking but it was the bypass pipe o ring. the pipe is under the intake that going to the water pump on the driverside.

i've also had that problem...but he stated coming from where the IM meets the head

I seem to remember there being a certain way to tighten the nuts onto the studs on the head. There is a pattern right? Do you know what that pattern might be?

ive never used any particular order i just usually start in the middle and work my way in circles outward.

if it is the gasket, do not get an aftermarket one (besides bisi's). the ones you get from oreily's or autozone or something do not have metal surrounding the coolant port, just rubber/neoprene. i went through three of these after the new engine until i got an OEM honda piece that hasnt made trouble since.
