po6 ecu auto or manual?

    po6 ecu auto or manual?

    how do i find out if i have a manual or auto ecu? the numbers on it are 37820-po6-a50-741-547464 and then in big letters APY. i had it chipped and i slapped it on my auto wagon and it takes off like a freakin cow,lol. what ever help would be apprecciated it

    isnt the po6 from a 92-95 Civic DX?

    & I thought the "A" ment automatic

              yeah they usually have AT on thet top sticker.
              p??-a** in the numbers means usdm


              but if not you take the cover off and look
              if the ristors are there you have auto if not then manual.

                Does it really matter if the ecu is auto or manual? The tcu would control how your transmission is running. I used an auto ecu on my manual f22 and it worked like a charm. I dont see why the opposite would be any different.

                  i was wondering the same thing cause im about to do a 5spd swap and i have a h22 ecu with a VAFC hooked up and really dont want to change the ecu, can any one answer this?

                    honestly doesnt matter weither or not its auto or manual... u just have to make sure ur running uberdata 1.66 on it.. this seems to be the only stable version to run an automatic..


                    edit: i forgot to explain.. the reason why is.. if ur using 1.70 or greater on uberdata.. it will always take off in second gear (thus the cow feeling).. go outside and manual drop it into 1st and start from the 1st gear.. and u shall see the difference... lol

                            the "a" has nothing to do with telling you wether or not its auto. Anything under a10 is manual and anything over a50 is auto. Also if you know what a auto and a manual look like under the cover (which you probably don't since you can't read a ecu sticker) then you could tell the difference there.
