Originally posted by Losiracer2 View Postoh no, I checked the sensor, its good, its just a frayed wire thats not giving it any contact, that's why they stay on. So today I went to the JY and got a sensor w/ more wire so I can solder the two wires together. Its that tiny sensor under the dizzy, the one thats cylindrical in shape about the size of a pencil....the one that sends the coolant temp level in the dash.
Find out which fan is staying on, the radiator or A/C fan, then it would be that respective thermoswitch. Radiator fan is closest to battery stock location. The radiator thermoswitch is on the Tstat housing and the A/C is on the water outlet housing, both can be bought new from Majestic Honda if this is the issue, $30-35/each.
Radiator thermoswitch, part # 14
A/C thermoswitch, part # 15

Hondafan I had Kai over the day before and we checked the thermo switch for his radiator fans. The switch was fine and once it sat for a while the switch cooled down and opened the circuit and the fans shut off.
On the thermosensor for the temperature gauge I had a mechanical wire clamp that we used to bridge the wires together on a connector that Kai got from a local yard. The only thing left is to solder it up when he had time.
