Ok so a friend of mine picked up a new cylinder head for his car and took it to get cleaned. They did all the work and everything was fine. A few days later he took it to a head shop to have it put on his car. After he picked the car up no more than 3 days later he noticed the car was leaking oil out of the head under the spark plug. When he took the car back the guy stated that he had a hairline crack behind the spark plug. Now my question is my friend said when he pick up the car he noticed the head was a little dirty( he figured it was just some oil from the guys hands and thought nothing of it and cleaned it). Im thinking that when he went to get the head pressure checked he noticed the leak and tryed to clean up the engine. But my point is isnt every shop supposed to check for any leaks before returning the car back to the owner of the vehicle? Thanks in advance guys
