    head gasket problem?

i have a 91 accord with a f22b1 vtec and i replaced all the gaskets about 2-3 months ago when i put the motor in, i now have a oil leak and i have looked and replaced every gasket except the head gasket. now my question is will the head gasket let oil leak or will it let coolant only. it is coming from between the head and the block and i cant tell if it is the head gasket. if you dont think it is what else could it be. tell me ideas and i will let you know if it has been replaced or not. thanks for the help!

To me,I think headgasket gone will have white smoke cauz the radiator fluid will leak into the combustion chamber.Any more detail?

i dont think it's the head gasket.. it might just be one of the new seals/gaskets that were replaced.. they coudl have being installed incorrectly.. if the shop did take it back and have them check it, if u did it look over all of your work from top to bottom and fix it.. good luck

our cars are NOT known to blow head gaskets so check over all the work your did or have the shop fix it. 99% sure your headgaskets fine.

          come on man.....l.

if ya need help, be MORE SPECIFIC.

What side of motor? Left? Right? Front? Back? How much oil? What kind of oil are you using?(syn. or reg). Can you SEE the leak? WHEN does it leak.

Fill us in, and we'll fill u in.

But no. doesn't really sound like head gasket.

it is coming from the top part on the passenger side where the tranny meets the block but it is not my tranny because it leaks up above it and it leaks a little puddle everyday. usually leaks the most when it is hot and i am using valvoline 10-40 oil. it has gotten to the point where it is on the back of the block and on the drivers side. leaks everywhere but the front of the motor and it is not the valve cover gasket because that has been replaced and it is not the vtec solenoid or pressure sender because they to have been replaced so have any ideas now?

dont know if this has been mentioned but have you checked dist o-ring? is it leaking out of timing cover? and lastly are u sure your valve cover gasket is not hiding a leak somewear on you? clean your shit up real good and than check for leaks.

sounds like distributor o ring to me too.

check that. if your SURE it's not your vtec s, then it could very well be coming from your distributor.

replaced the distributor o-ring with a new one also a new valve cover gasket as well this is why i am stumped. i have replaced all of the gaskets and still nothing. cleaned it up real well then drove it popped the hood and it was leaking but i cannot pinpoint the leak.

                            Just curious

Would a rear main seal leak in this way?
