A/F ratio gauge install

does anyone know how to install a A/F ratio gauge? ive had one before but all it looked like was the gauge and the wire leading to the bong for the O2 sensor.

if you do have one or know how to install it can you post pics?


btw- its a electrical one i do believe.

sell ... Buy a wideband. If not power, ground, white wire from o2.

the a/f gauge i have installs like this

red - constant +
black - constant -
one wire goes to 12v ignition
another one goes to green wire on the o2

the one wire that going to the ignition (your key unit on the steering column).

any source that powers 12v when the ignition is turned on but no power when the ignition is off....

I think it is 12v ignition. Does it work with the ignition off? Im pretty sure it doesn't but i could be wrong...

maybe i could wire it up to the CD player 12v wire. it doent come on til the car does im trying to avoid the ignition because i dont want to get under there and mess something up.

ha ha! didnt know id help someone with saying that. lol. i just have to get my stereo system working tho. lol.

hey heres a question and kinda OT, but if i dont have the CD player hooked up can i still run wires for other stuff off the CD player wire harness and still get power?

why even waist your time installing a gauge that doesnt tell you anything important? stock o2 sensors work on narrowband voltage so your only really going to see that the o2 is working and not what your airfuel ratio actually is.

well id rather have it now and installed instead of waiting til later on and then go thru all that crap.
