    A/C fragrance?

not an AC guy at all. ive had my ac down for like 5 months cause i was too lazy too soder the wire that was cut durring the swap. since its summertime in fl, i finally did it. need a recharge but thats nothing.

since its been down for a bit its doesnt smell bad, just super stale. i sprayed some lysol disinfectant down my ac vents too kill any mold and what have you.....just in case. now ive heard of dumping stuff into thte vents under the windshield for a more pleasant smell.....but that was just a rumor.......will that work?

im thinking of Fabreeze. anyother suggestions that would work better?

also wouldnt that only really work for the "vent" setting instead of the "recirc" setting?

The odor comes from stagnant water inside the ducts and around the evaporator. The best thing you can do is run it on the fresh air setting for a while. Recirc actually closes off the outside air intake for the cars HVAC system, which means you'll be recirculating stale air. Febreeze will help some, but the best thing is fresh air.
