    Driver's Window Won't Go Down.

Previously, it would go down fine, but on the come up it comes out of track at the very top. I wanted to fix this asap, but didn't know how.

Now, it moves down slightly and then stays but you hear the motor bringing it down, it sounds like something is in the way. Someone told me it might be the dust seal weatherstripping on the inner or outer part.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, its sad to have to lower my rear window to talk to a girl. LOL

Most likey it's the window run channel. The rubber stripping that the window goes up and down in. I had to have mine replaced in January because my windows would do the same thing.

BustedLX helped me fix them, and I think I paid like $60 for them each and my windows go up and down perfectly fine now and I don't hear that nasty road noise I did before because they don't fall off track.

The only thing I can tell you to do , if you don't want to buy new ones.. spray WD-40 in the run channel by the mirror, and let the window go up and down a few times if you can get it to move. That might be a temporary fix.

yup like rebels said, it the entire rubber run channel around the whole door i replaced mine with one from a junkyard accord and it tookabout 30 mins, now the window closes nice as ever.

is this a part i could get at the dealer? because i'm all about function, i like keeping all my parts operable. but if its $60, that might have to wait like a week.

so i'm guessing that i might just spray some wd-40, seeing that i have some in the car, and see what happens. this is the only window that this happens to, all the other ones go up & down fast & properly.

thanks guys, btw, is the install process hard?

edit: yeah, that road noise is a pita.

like i sadi go to a junkayrd andget one for $2, the reason this is the only window that does this is because its the one thats used most often, dont watse tomuch money on this because i spent $2 at a yard and it worked out fine, havent had any problems with it,the door panels gotta come off,the glass has to come out (2 bolts) i did mine in no time, just have a buddie hold the glass while you unscrew it so it dont fall into the door and break.oh ya after the panel and window is off the rubber slides right out and the new rubber slides right in.good luck.

someone once told me not to lube the window with WD 40 bc it attracts dust...instead they told me to use a silicon based lube so i went with that and it fixed the problem i had (the window was popping out of the tray when it reached the top)

I used both wd-40 and the silicon stuff. Once they both dry up, the window will go back to the same old thing.

I noticed that when the window went up, I saw where it would hit on the weather striping and come off track. So I cut a notch out of that rubber weather stripping where it kept diverting out of the track. Works like a charm now

I had the same problem on both sides.

I took my time and straightened the channel/weather stripping myself. I also had the window out and took off the side view mirror to fix a part that was folded.

I used the silicone spray. I then did all my windows and they all glide like new.

Use a lot of it, get into the entire channel.

WD40 sounds like it will dissolve the rubber or harden it after time.
