    Engine Problem? Scared.....

hey guys, recently I found out that there is sound coming from the engine compartment when I start accelerating. The clicking sound will disappear after the speed raises up.It happens all the times.I was thinking it might be some axels or cv joints or maybe heat sheld.Yet from last week,I switched to 89 octane gas instead of 87 at Chevron. The clicking noise disappeared.............. I thought it was just a coinsidence however it's not. I switched back to 87 2 days ago since the regular was 94.5 that day The sound went on again which really made me mad. I got 89 in the tank again today, fine again.Did I get screwed? What might be problem here? Any input is to be appreciated guys!

Perhaps the noise is still there, but its just not noticible as the speed increases and road/wind noise increases.

    CV joints? Valves? AC compressor?

Does the noise occur with the AC on or off? Noise only occur while acceleration during a turn? Clicking, ticking, tapping or pinging noise?

    Details, details!

with AC off,and also at night.I can't really describe the sound,it's likely to be"dadadaadadada",occurs when doing straight acceleration from traffic lights and disappears when speed reaches 20km/h. With 89 octane,at night, with windows open and close, both with no noise. Tried out 2 times already, knocking????That hard???

I asked one of my friend,he said dadada means the engine is firing too late!?

      I am driving a bit hard everyday,if that's hard knocking,then my F22A6 may already...........

I still wonder what's the problem.Anyone knows what the knocking sounds like? I am worrying about my engine will damage due to the knocking.Gas price is so high, premiums are over 100 now, only way to go?

Day or night shouldn't matter. If the car's going to make the noise, then the car's going to make the noise.

Any of your exhaust system loose?
