well since I've got a spare NGK O2 sensor, i'm gonna first unplug the one on my downpipe and check the resistance across it and if that's bad, then I'll swap in my spare O2 and see if that makes a diff. ugh.....if this isn't the case, I'm going to a Honda dealer and have them mess around w/ it.

I'm at a loss of any other things I can think of.
I would try the oxy sensor first before you take it to the dealership.
Also I think I stated earlier, But mine does the same thing for about 10seconds after you first start the car - What I found the problem to be is that, that is how long it takes the oxy sensor to start giving readings.
On the Display the wideband reads 22.39 afr (off the allowable scale) then 10seconds later it starts reading and the car runs fine.
I dont know why it does it, I suspect is either 1)The type/brand of sensor used, or 2) 10seconds is the amount of time it take for my LC-1 wideband unit to give a reading after losing power once the car is started.

well here's some pics of my old O2 sensor, it prob. was original. since it also was an NGK O2 sensor. These pics make it look like it was TOAST. so far driving to McDonalds and back it feels the same, but it didn't stumble upon start up so I think I solved the problem! But i don't wanna jump the gun just yet. And if it was my O2 which was the culprit, then I'm gonna go out and buy a new one since I don't wanna rely on my JY spare O2, since it might not get as good gas mpg as a brand new one. but here's some pics:

Should i just buy a complete distributor? Since there's prob. other sensors in there that could be affecting it? I really have no idea what else to do.

Okay, well Santan Honda now has possession of my car for the next couple of hours....as they'll HOPEFULLY find the problem of my "stumbling" at a tune of 120 dollars for a diagnostic fee...they better fucking figure it out and not just tell me....oh we tried.

I hope you get it right....
cause if you fix your problem, then it should be whats the matter with mine. Cause mine stumbles a little a idle and some acceleration, but still wont redline and just feels week. Now when it bounces like the rev limiter at 5500 and I shift it bogs so bad from first 1st to 2nd. It's like the rpms dont drop and its so slow.Mr. $3 Dollahz Himself!

Okay, well I had Honda look at it and they're saying that they can't duplicate the problem. a load of BS. It happens to me everytime I start the car. So they're gonna need to keep it overnight to do a Block test? on it....I'm assuming its related to the head gasket to see if that's leaking. I had the tech do a compression test on it and that turned out good the service advisor says. And just some info I got from the advisor...
They want $1113.76 + oil and filter to do a Headgasket for my engine. WTF?! does it cost that much? And that's not even machining/resurfacing the head..that'll prob. be another $500 if it needs that. So if it IS the HG as my issue, then I'm prob. gonna attempt to do it myself, since parts for this job, I asked, are only $180.92 for a Honda OEM HG. She said its approx. 8.8hrs of labor.
Well that's my update for now. I'll know tomorrow morning for sure, but I kinda think that that's the issue....ouch. Crap this is gonna suck if its the H.G.

And this is how I suspected that it could be a Head Gasket issue:

I asked the dudes on Honda-Tech to see if they would know anything and a guy chimed in.Last edited by Losiracer2; 05-19-2008, 08:34 PM.

wow...
today I checked my compression and is was 210 all the way across, but car wont redline, smokes at high rpms and it still bogs when i shift. Dude if its the head gasket, and you don't want to spend all of the cheese, buy a engine from a salvage yard for like $300. Let me know keep me posted, tomorrow Im getting my cat. checked for free, and yea we can split that diagnostic fee.Mr. $3 Dollahz Himself!
