    Radio Code from a 1998 CR-V?

My mom used to have a '98 CR-V. I installed a nice aftermarket CD player in her car as a gift. I kept the original Honda OEM CD player, and now I am going to put it in my CB because I am in dire need of a CD player (I want to maintain the stock look). The only problem I can forsee is not having the radio code. What should I do? I searched for this topic, and the answers I came up with is contact the dealer. But the problem is she traded the CR-V almost 4 years ago. I don't have any information on it anymore. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Just call a couple of dealers until one of them gives you the code. I called the first dealer in the phone book, spoke to the parts department, and had my code in about 2 minutes total, several months ago.

But I no longer have the vehicle information. Will this be a problem?
