    410 Miles on Full Tank

Well i did it. I filled my tank and i went about 410 miles before the gas light came on. Most was highway driving 80+ and some city driving where i would floor it everywhere.

    Anyways

I think that makes my mpg is 24 :-/ that right?

I wanna get 450 for a full tank

    that would be cool

On one tank, how many miles do you usually get with just city driving?

the highest ive ever gotten to is 360 miles and it was riding E (dont know if gas light works so not too eager to test it) and thats ~30mpg (filled up with a ~11.5 gallons)

how big is the gas tank in a cb7? and how low does it normally have to get for the gas light to come on?

i was thinking it was a 15 gallon tank and the light came on at 2....didnt think it was a 17 gallon tank (so big )

well anyways ive never had to fill up with more than 12 gallons so i guess i have been playing it safer than i thought, atleast now i know the approx range on my car

and is that 410 mi with the AC on or off?

            my gauge is fucked up
when the needle hits the red it really isnt even close to empty
yesterday when i filled up with the needle in the red it only put in 12 gallons when the tank capacity is 17

i got 285 miles on 12 gallons of gas though (24mpg)

                450

I ran until my gas light came on once (just to see if it worked) and hit over 450. Most of the driving was highway (~90%) since I was commuting at the time. I drive pretty calm around town most of the time also (shift around 2.5k since I am usually in traffic) so that helped I'm sure. I was regularly getting over 30 mpg when commuting, and still get that with the AC on when I travel long distances. Now that I live in town my mileage is more in the 21-25 range depending upon AC useage and how hard I have been driving it.

What a great little car. Dependable, good mpg and quick enough to have some fun with!

my needle doesnt start to move til ~125 miles and the first half tank goes alot slower than the second half. at E i have 6 gallons left or so, so i guess the gauge just needs to be recalibrated.

I've got the same issue with my gauge. Mine doesn't start moving down from Full at approximately the same mileage. But once the needle gets slightly below the half mark, it drops super crazy fast.

Are you guys auto or 5spd? I ran my tank until after the light came on, and I had 510 miles on 15.9 gallons (5spd). That's like 33mpg. I was takin' it easy for most of that tank, though.

And my gas guage does the same thing, except it goes to about 175 before it drops.

I'm at 260 something on my tank now, and have a little bit more than 1/4 of a tank left. THis is with a slush box, a heavy foot, and combo highway, and city driving.

Im my car the gas needle takes a long time to get down to half a tank then after that it takes no time at all to get to E. Has anyone else experienced this?.
