I recently had to replace the hose that goes under the distributor to the heater core, the hose clamps were also bad, as they formed a groove in the hose and lost their tension.

if there are no leaks and you are losing coolant...it HAS to be going somewhere...there is a bleed....or something valve...on it...but this would show a leak.
It is possible you have a slow leak that will only show up under higher rpms
It is also possible you have a faulty HG...
at this point...we don't know...is prolly the general consensus____

my fiance's car is doing this crap (I know I've made like 3 replies about that)
any way pretty sure her head gasket is going out...only sign is that her coolant ends up flowing out the over flow tank.
Her oil is not sweet and is fine...
you can have a faulty head gasket and not have a lot of coolant in your oil and not smell it in the exhaust. Her exhaust does smell kinda...funky...prolly cause of this...oh well...
LET us know what the mech says though if you don't mind____
