    Stalled Yesterday...

Well, I was layin back in the CB with the A/C & Radio on (stock), and all of a sudden the antenna retracted and the radio shut off.

So then I'm like "Oh shit" and turn the radio off (via knob) and back on, no power. So I drove off thinking let me run it a little, and at the next light it shut off completely. I pushed it to the curb, then got a boost from a Civic because it wouldn't start (heard a clicking sound-lights dim), after I pulled off the booster cables it ran fine still.

So I shot back uptown, to my boy's shop, we checked the terminal connections and alternator connections, no issues there. Then used a battery volt-meter, reading 12 volts on & off.

Now after all this, I go to start it, no issues, perfect start.

So I'm left to think, WTF?
    Any ideas?

The issue could be that your battery is old and not holding a full charge. It could also be that even thought the alt. is kicking out 12v, it's not kicking out enough current to power the car and all the accessories. Double check the battery grounds and that grounds going to the engine. Also check to make sure the alt. belt is spinning the pulley normally. Other than that, it sounds like you checked most other things.

okay do this then start up your car then disconnect the negative cable side of the battery if its shuts off your alternator just did the terminator. Your alternator crapped out on you and is bad.
