Car Wont Pick Up In Rain?

When its raining out and i start my car and start to drive off my cb acts lick its losing power....like it the engine is dieing and then after 10 sec its back to normal

This only happens when it rains out side

I would look for moisture or water inside you distributor cab, or look into the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor button for failure or corrosion.

more than likely...Dist. Cap is letting in moisture..and fouling and/or weakening the ignition delivery to the plugs.

and what Cisco said...are you plug wires in good shape..how old are they?

well i changed the wires and sparks and dizzy cap 3 months ago but i wll check anyway....also i noticed today that one fuel injector is leakin....can this make it that as well? im guessing this is why I smell gas inside the car when I first start it up. what do I need to make it stop the leak? the car has 190k

Prolly the o rings need replaced. Might wanna get on that. I locked my old neighbor's engine in his nissan because I forgot to put the o rings on the new injector. I ended up swapping out his engine with a used one. His car had 170k.

That would have been nice to know in your first post.

Anyhow, buy 4 new top injector O-rings and replace them.

First, remove injectors from fuel rail and old top O-rings. Then, put small amount of oil on O-rings, slip them onto injectors. Finally, push injectors into fuel rail first, then align fuel rail into intake manifold, reinstall everything from that point on. Do not overtorque the 3 nuts that hold the fuel rail on, they will bottom out and go no further, stop turning at that point.
