How to run IABs open at all times?

im going to be boosted very soon, and im gonna run dual runners always open. Now i was wondering how to do this? I would preffer to get rid of the diaphram thing on the side of the IM too if possible? I have 2 a6 manifolds.

    Thanks a lot!

Take the valves out and put a bolt in the sides to seal up the holes.

You should just make ONE thread asking all your questions.

Ever since you've started your project, you've made numerous threads without showing attempts at searching. You seem to have absolutely no clue as to what you're doing either.

You could also use JB-Stick...it's basically JB-Weld Putty...I used that to seal mine up on my extra IAB plate.

Holy shit. He has 15 threads on various little questions dating back only to last December.

all involving his ONE project. Read through them. He asks basic questions on how to put his engine together and how things work.

The point is, in none of his threads, does he show attempts at actually doing his OWN research.

He blatantly asks the questions and expect responses. He does not urge people, doesn't cus people out when they don't answer. He respectfully bumps his threads in a discrete way. He also spaces them out as to not be like the rest of the annoying noobs that ask all the questions in 1 day.

It just pisses me off that he has a big project going on, but yet shows no knowledge of how it all goes together.

the reason i space out the questions is because as im going through my project i run into these little problems, this is my first time ever doin anything this big and honestly in some things i dont know what im doing, but i wanna do all the work by myself, i wanna learn. I do agree posting a question like this was stupid tho, as i did find all the info i needed after searching

the only thing i cant find is how to remove the vacuum diaphram? im tryin to make the engine bay as clean as possible and would like to remove it. Can i put in 2 plates from both my a6 manifolds together that dont have the iab on them? i cant see why not?

Removing the diaphragm is just a matter of unscrewing all the butterfly plates, unscrewing the retaining bolts on the diaphragm, and pulling the rod and diaphragm from the plate. Then you can seal it up. I am currently running two IAB plates, one with butterflies, the other with them removed and sealed. You can see them in this picture and the one in my previous post in this thread.

the main thing is you guys shouldnt care what threads he makes, so what he asks instead of searching. do you have to read them? do you have to half ass answer them?

                        no

All you have to do is look at it and take it apart.

Jose has a way of saying what's on his mind.

I may not be as blatant about it, but I do agree. I did help you out today via PMs on your coolant IM routing and did answer this question already as well by PM.

I agree that you do need to research more and learn more about your motor. What is the point of doing a project, when you don't understand what you are doing? I do recall you basically had someone else build your motor, that's fine, some people can't handle that. But there is no excuse for the other simple stuff. Quit being lazy and get a manual, you can learn alot from it.

You could have answered this question easily if you ever tinkered with an IM manifold and IAB plate. You said you have two A6's, well one of them you should have taken apart and found out how the IAB plate works, it's simple.

Actualy, asking little questions all over makes it more convinient for people using the search button. But back on topic.. the iabs stay open if the diaphram isn't plugged in.... so.... yup...
