Originally posted by ChillPhatCatMine does this... I usually hold my foot in the position where I set it for a few seconds after engaging it and that seems to help. If I set it on a hill I usually have to dial in a bit more accel to get it to maintain speed. Overall, I find the system is a bit crude and ya just have to mess with accel and decel sometimes.

When using the CC buttons to accel or decel, I find using quick successive taps works best in adjusting your cruising speed. If you just push and hold, there's a delay before the car starts accelerating, and then when you let go, sometimes it'll take a second too long to stop accelerating past where you wanted it to go. If you just tap the buttons, (like tap tap tap tap tap) you'll have better control.
And x2 on leaving your foot on the pedal for a second or two until the cruise engages.
