    Really is my tranny problem???

I have tried to post this in some other forums but could not get a good answer.
I have a 92 ex-r with slushbox, probably 168k km on it,converted to like 100k miles. I found out that if I put it in D4,at certain RPM I can feel a vibration come from the front compartment,I can feel it with my pedals. It will disappear if I give a bit more gas or just release the gas. However, the thing is that if I put it into D3,no matter what RPM, no vibration at all.Just smooth. I really got mad every time I am on the way back home in the evening, the traffic won't allow me to speed up enough to get rid of the vibration.
I got my michellin X-one tires half a year ago I think, and I changed the tranny fluid last week but the problem persists.I may give tranny flush a shot this week.
Any ideas guys? Any input is to be appreicated!

i am thinking it could be engine more than a trans prob, since if d3 u don't feel it at all, but d3 makes the car feel tighter imo. but u said front compartment. do the little things b4 the big things. a tranny flush would be good, but w/ tranny how does the shifting feel? does it feel smooth when the car shifts or does it sound and feel wierd? try speed up on d4 and let it shift to see how the trans feel, maybe that'll help u a bit to isolate prob?

are all pedals shaking? brake pedal? could it be engine creating ripple movements or somethign? like the mounts. how's the idle?

for mines, i notice that at stop lights i feel vibration on steering wheel, however as i gas to drive and go its gone and it actually feels better in motion.
good luck sorry if im not much of help, i'm a noob..
    hahahahah

yeah, thanx guys! I tried speeding up to 120km/h last night and the night before in D4,didn't feel any problem at higher speed. However, when in D4,it shifts a bit jerky at lower speed than D3,sometimes I can even feel the downshift can make the car shake a little bit. While in D3,everything is fine, that's the thing makes me confused a lot.How come in D3 all the things are fine...........

Idle is ok,when in park is like 700,when stopped at a light,is like 500,is that normal? A little bit, only a little bit vib felt with the steering,it's really nominal.

hey guys, now I know how exactly is my problem.Look at this:

                      SYMPTOM: DOWN SHIFTING SEEMS HARSH

Description of problem: Whenever you let off the gas pedal after driving some time, the transmission seems to jerk into a lower gear. You especially notice the harshness of the shift when you press on the gas pedal for "passing gear." Passing gear is really the next lowest gear for the transmission. The transmission downshifts to provide more power for passing. Harsh downshifting is not good and is not normal. You don't notice any other problem with the transmission.

and there could be the following possibilities:
                      1. The throttle linkage for the transmission is out of adjustment or damaged.

                      2. The fluid level in your transmission is incorrect.

                      3. You have an internal problem in the transmission.

                      4. You have a problem with the engine.

                      5. There is a problem with the electrical controls for your transmission.

                      sigh.............
how to check the throttle linkage? Any one knows? I am gonna do the tranny flush next week and hopefully it gonna do the job.Otherwise TCM for sure?

Yeah,I heard that from many people. However,I am kind of afraid cauz will Honda geniune fluid bring me back the smooth feeling from harsh downshifting? Hope there is magic and power.......
