    f20a? swap

I just got a fresh sohc f20a swap, but it doesn't have the last numerical designation for what series it is such as if it is an A4 or A7. Does anyone have any idea why that is?

    It's a JDM motor.

I know and realize it's a jdm motor, i'm just looking for some exact specs... like weather it's an A4 or A7 cause theres like 11hp difference between the two.

      F20A
This engine series was used in the Honda Accords in Japan and Europe. The DOHC F20A was also derived from this engine (see below).

      Specifications

      Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 88.0 mm
      Displacement: 1997 cc
      Valve Configuration: SOHC, 16 valves
      Max output : F20A2 and F20A4 136 PS @ 5400 rpm (PGM-Fi), 110 PS @ 6000 rpm (PGM-carb)
      Max output : F20A7 147 PS @ 5600 rpm (PGM-Fi)
      Max torque : F20A2 and F20A4 18.5 kg m @ 4300 rpm (PGM-Fi), 16.1 kg m @ 3800 rpm (PGM-carb)
      Max torque : F20A7 19.3 kg m @ 4400 rpm (PGM-Fi)
      Fuel consumption (Japan Combined Cycle) : 9.6 km/l (PGM-Fi), 9.8 km/l (PGM-carb)
This engine also spawned many variants, according to market, but the specs remain largely similar

You asked why it has no designation numbers , so I answered it's a JDM motor. You

        F20A7 is your reference.

Dude, I wasn't being a smart ass or anything. I was just asking a question. I've been on this sight for a while searching and everyone else who this engine has the last numerical designation. All I was looking for was some insight. So with that said any help is appreciated.

Look up the differences in those motors and then that will tell you what you have.
You can rule most of them out because I know you do not have a carbureted motor.

Just assume it's an A7 since you are not carburated.

you don't have an f20a7 you simply have an f20a. in japan there are no numbers after the last letter in the designation. all the f20's in japan are either f20a's f20b's or f20c's, like in america there are h22a1's and a4's but in japan there are only h22a's.
back to do it again... no flipping of accords this time!!!

Hit me up with techy questions if i don't have an answer i can get an answer...
