Vtec Wont kick in, Speedometer Dont Work

I swapped a 96 accord vtec engine into my 90 accord, I had everything working good then i ran into a problem. My speedometer stoped working, and my vtec wouldn't kick in anymore. I dont have any idea what it could be, sometimes when the car is warm and i go over bumps it will come on and then go off again, then when the speedometer kicks in that is when the vtec works as well! Can someone please help me figure this out, Thanks!

Could it be a speed sensor problem? I remember reading that VTEC won't engage if the ECU doesnt get a signal from the speed sensor, though i could be wrong...

Is you speed sensor properly plugged in? Vtec doesn't work unless the vehicle is going over 20mph. So it has no way of knowing its speed without a working VSS.

Will an AUTO VSS work on a 5spd?

Yup. I took the VSS from my F22 auto and put it in my H22 5spd. Works beautifully.
