internal f22 rotor on external h23 shaft

Aright so I finally figured out the external to internal swap. I am doing an h23 head swap on my internal coil f22. The h23 dizzy that I bought is external coil, and a friend told me that an internal cap fits perfectly. It does. Looks like it's the same exact mold, just different holes are plugged on the cap. So with my new cap I got a new rotor as well. So I put the new cap and rotor on the external h23 dizzy. It all fits, but the internal rotor doesn't have a screw hole nor a screw to go with it. It slides on with relative force. Enough to hold it there so it's definitely tight. Just wondering if it's tight enough where it won't like spin off or nothin.

I'll take pictures if yall need em

Wait, so you're using an external coil distributor with an internal coil cap? No bueno

unless he mods the cap to be an external cap.

I'm putting my internal guts into my external dizzy.

My cb7's internal coil. the duzzy i bought for the h23 head swap is external. So I gutted out everything from the external h23 dizzy except the shaft. I am going to put all the wires and such from my internal f22 dizzy, into the h23 housing. So it'd be the h23 housing, so it cal bolt up to the h23 head, and yet still have the internal components from the f22. I bought a new cap and rotor for an internal f22 dizzy, and assembled it onto the bare h23 housing, and it all fits, looks like nothing bad'll happen.

so essentially I'm just putting an internal cap onto an external housing with internal guts and an internal rotor...make better sense?

          now it makes sense.

What you did is the same thing as a JDM H distributor.

Yeah, the way you said it before, I thought you were just putting an internal coil cap over your external coil distributor, thusly removing that pesky coil :P
