My friend has a '93 accord that he purchased with an f22b SOHC VTEC motor. He's now swapping it to an h22.
The mechanic that's swapping in the h22 claims that the f22b wiring harness is too short and that he'll need to extend some wires. I'm not clear on which wires he needs to extend, but I was wondering if any of you guys have done an h22 swap using an f22b wiring harness.
I remember extending the thermostat wire and the O2 sensor wire when I used my f22a wiring harness for the swap, but it sounds like the mechanic is saying he needs to extend the harness at the strut towers, where the engine harness connects to the chassis harness.
Any truth to that claim? Or is he just not wiring it correctly?
