I was switching over the shift cable to the new tranny, however I did not notice where the arm was when I took the cover off of the area. Can someone tell me if the arm that the cable connects to is pushed forward or backwards when in park?

when i removed mine i believe it was forward when in park. -
Shoot, I thought so because I remember trying to squeeze my fingers in that small hole and I inadvertently moved the lever and realized that I could pull it back some more. Oh well, have to take off the cover and move the lever forward.
