it needs a new piston and some valve seals. The motor was torn down, and i found a bad ringland on piston 3. Cylinder walls look good. If you want more info, feel free to PM me bro

If you call most of the shops you find, they might be able to get one for you. Keep in mind, they aren't going to bother advertising the less popular engines.

If you're thinking turbo, you'll want to rebuild... so 91accordr33's motor would be a wise choice.

exactly what i did in the past. F20a dohc boost. I was only of only a few. Keep in mind that these motors have higher compression so tuning isnt as forgiving as a f22a. get it done right.

If you do want to rebuild for boost, slapping some forged pistons should get you some decent numbers on 12psi

so i could run about 12psi on only forged pistons? or would i need a few more little things? and as for my tranny, could i leave it alone or would it need to be rebuilt for good measure?

auto tranny...tough decision. AT THE LEAST, put in an external tranny cooler. I know I blew mine from hard shifts all the time...but a rebuild coulnt hurt. For that price, I'd go 5 spd, personally.

I think 12 psi would hold on forged pistons. I think you can see close to 300hp on stock sleeves ( I THINK...i have seen f22bx's put down that much stock ). I would have the f20 in tip top shape if ur going to do that though...anyone agree or disagree?

If you get forged pistons, you can drop the compression... making it a bit safer to run higher boost.

I think people have taken the stock sleeves to 15psi. Still, I'd hold back and not push your luck. 12psi would probably be safe (people run that on stock F22As... again, that's the extreme, and probably not good for long).

As for the auto tranny, DEFINITELY put an external cooler on there. Some Redline fluid would be wise as well. A rebuild, even a beefed up rebuild, would be a good idea... but they don't come cheap. Level 10 is a popular company for auto rebuilds and upgrades.

They're fairly uncommon, so upgrades won't be nearly as easy to find as the other motors... but you can probably find something. I don't know enough about them myself to help, unfortunately.
