The F20A is Aliiiiiiive...

After talking with a few people about my motor today I got kinda bummed that I hadn't started it up yet...even though I'm still waiting for axles... I haven't had a chance to get my battery charged....so it was a no go...

So.... I "appropiated" my GF's battery and started her up... The F20A not my GF...she was bitching about me taking her battery...


I love that sound...

Little bit of a high idle...about 1300-1500... but it's not coughing or hiccuping now and no CELs with the new PT6...but it's smooth...a little too smooth... it's quiet and there's no lope... quite a change... it's weird...but I like it... it's revvy fo sho...should be better after a little tweaking... not until I get the axles in though...

Yay for me though... the most powerful JDM (or any DM for that matter) motor to be in any production 4thGen is in my car...and running... no... it's purring...

So what did you end up doing? Going DOHC or SOHC? I thought the F20A was the JDM SOHC but I remember you mentioned you where going DOHC with an F22B, aw shit man all these fucking engine codes give me a headache.

the sohc will be back thou.. dont u worry..zigen has revenge on that crx that he raced when he snapped the T-belt.. although he still won

Lol... I hear that about the engine codes...

Like wikked said... F20A DOHC CB3 Accord 2.0 Si engine...

So now I have 3 blocks 4 heads and 5 intake manifolds sitting in my garage...all F series...among other goodies... +1 in all those categories if you count the engine in the car... Bleh... I'm gonna have to get a bigger storage unit so I have more room in my garage...

Keep it for yourself... it revs so much quicker and easier than the SOHC... that's what I really like about it... the 88mm stroke... but it's too damn quiet... I guess I had become addicted to the clacky valves and lopey idle...

anyone knows where zigen lives...i think somebody is about to get jacked for all those blocks and manifolds i dont thinki its so wise to say what you have in your garage especially with all the jacking thats been going on in this forum...but lilke you, im used to my intake and exhaust the noise they make...i fall asleep in my bros car cuz its so quite

I almost dare someone to try and steal from me... If you get past the 2 mean dogs, I'll be waiting there with a 12ga and backed up after the fact by a DA that's sympathetic to homeowners in those "situations"...things are pretty cutthroat out west...I'm not being Mr. Tuff guy either, that's just how it is round here...a fairly polite, armed community...

I can totally relate though man... in any normal, non modded car I nod right off... even if I'm not sleepy it makes me drowsy for some reason...

I have a little bit of updated info on a few the particulars of this swap that I'll be sure to include after I get the axles in and drive it a little for some driving impression...along with some mo betta daylight pics...

All I can say is I will never go back to a 95mm crank... just revving the F20A made the F22 feel like the crank was spinning through peanut butter or molasses or something... it revs so damn effortlessly it's not funny...

It's been up on stands for so long... I was kind of shocked when I set her down... it seemed really really low...like crazy low... it was weird... made me feel tall...


Didn't get a chance to drive it yet because I got finished with the axles too late and the neighbors would pitch a bitch everytime I started it up to fix the high idle...fuckers...

I did however get the # of a decently hot chick who worked at Autozone when I went to get a new battery...I wasn;t even trying...I wanted to get home and finish the car up...she just offered... I'm thinking maybe working on hooking up that discount...

so I just finished up some other things I had planned to do later...like the Eibach rear swaybar and a couple other misc things...






I need some fricking sleep...bleh...

Hahaha...my neighbors are cool, but I'm sure I've annoyed them playing loud music while working on our cars at home & having the air compressor going of, etc

That's sweet Zigen, glad your project is coming along.

I should be receiving my parts by Thursday this week. However, I'm jetting to Minnesota on a family trip so I won't be posting pics til I get back in mid-July.

BTW, don't you have a GF? hahaha...playa play on!! Cuz it's your duty to please that booty.
