injector seal?

i got rc engineering 550cc injectors for my h22 and today i got borg-warner seals from where i work, when i got off work i tried to install the injectors but they wont go in...i dont know if the seals are too big or what...the seals fit around the injector and in the hole in the intake manifold but when i try to put the injector in the seal in the intake manifold it wont fit...it just stops and wont go any further...is that how it is supposed to be? is there a trick to getting them to fit? i took one of my old injectors and it fit in the im...should i return the borg-warner seals and get honda seals from majestic? !!!

i believe people have had problems with DSM injectors...they solved that by enlarging the hole for th injector.

are we talking bout that plastic ring?

yeah i am talking about the plastic ring...i have a skunk2 intake manifold and it is already on my engine in the car...so is there any smaller sized rings or any other way?

from my knowledge, i dont believe so. enlarging migt be your only option. there is another seal under it so i wouldnt be so concerned about fuel spraying everywhere maybe more of just a fitment issue.

but if the fuel rail is bolted down properly then it shouldnt even be a problem.

how exactly do i go about enlarging the hole for the fuel injector?

Drill. Sanding disk thing on a dremel thats about the right diameter. Sand it a bit and see if it slides in better. Of course there are other ways but thats the easiest one i can think of right now. Or just try to find a smaller o ring that will fit it.

i dremeled mine out for my 450's. just be sure to not crack them
