I jus got my TCU installed and I cant shift out of park so i got to first put my key in the shift lock and put it in neautral and then start it . Any way to get out of park normally after starting?

Hmm... Sounds like the shift Position switch (on the shifter) or the ignition interlock (in the steering column) is malfunctioning. We've seen a few of the SPS unit fail on 4Gs... Part #35700-SM4-A91, and it runs about $50. There was a post on it back then, but I couldn't find it. It had something to do with the TCU had an extra pin and you're supposed to run a wire from there to the solenoid. green wire/white...something like that. I just left mine that way it was. Let me see if I could find it at another site.

" The difference is the prelude TCU has an extra wire that the accords weren't equipped with.
What I had to do was run a wire from shift postion sensor (the electrical box on the left side of the shifter) to the TCU (A7 I believe). That was all. Now it works all 'g'!
