    h22 in EG (civic) sedan

a couple of weeks ago a guy comes to me with a 4 door civic an tells me he wants to swap something into his car,to start with he wanted to do a B-series swap but it didnt take much talking to him to convince him to go with an H-series.... so a week passes and he brings me a box with hasport mounts and a box with hasport axels an tells me the motor(H22A w/LSD) will be here in a couple of days the rest is history .....the swap is almost complete but I couldnt wait any longer to post it and let everyone on the forum see and give there thoughts........ more pics to come by the weekend ......hope u enjoy

Be sure to tell him to invest in a good set of axles. The H22 eats them alive. Buddy had one on his EG kept on breaking the passenger side axle as I recall.

looks good. i like the idea of the h in a civic sedan. makes me miss my wifes old gsr ex sedan.

i went for i lost track of how many years on axles i made and never broke one. wasnt running uber fast then only a 13.7 in the 1/4 with 2.0 60 foots. switched up to dss level 2 axles and slicks and ran an 8.5 in the 1/8 (ran a 9.1 in teh 13.7 run) with a 1.7 60 foot without issues as well.

he could sell the axles and transmission and do a H2B... idk how well it would fit, but it takes care of the axle problem

Pointless now since he bought it. Plus it requires buying another trans and the plate costs like close to 900. The trans bolts right on with the plate and bolts into the stock location.

move the clutch line just becuz prolly didnt have to ,notch the frame rail just a little(1 1/2"x1/2") could have been abit smaller but oh well, change the fuel line from fire wall to filter from hard line to soft line with a 90 degree fitting make a wiring harness to save a little money instead of buying one and of course the hasport mounts thats it so far ,attempting to put the power steering pump on is i think gonna be the biggest challenge............i know many people have done this swap but its a first for me all ive ever done was b swaps in civics and crx and h swaps in accords and a couple of franks so im a lttle excited about this my first h in a civic hope to start on the shifter tomm that should be intresting
