I had no idea the honda V6's were putting out those kinds of numbers. Makes the nissans look sickly. theres alot of nay sayers on the nissan boards.
    Nay sayers about what?

That they don't make that kind of power, or that it won't fit?

Hey guys, I have been looking at this post for a while since I am still considering what to swap into my CB7.
I was looking for J series block/head swap hybrids.... I found this yesterday.http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...ad.php?t=54261
It has alot more " performance/engine mod" stuff compared to the acurazine site.

Ofcourse check out the rest of the site too... I was suprised I did not see any comparable info to this on Honda tech..

I have been dying to find out if anyone is definitely doing this/having more progress yet. Lately I have been checking out the J hybrids and planning to do this when ever I get home from Japan if I don't go the " easy" route and do a F23 block/ jdm h23vtec crank ( 55mm main) and h22 head hybrid ( blah b;ah, b;ah) ..... come one some one give me some inspiration I have been a few thousand miles from my car for almost 2 years and have atleast 1 or 2 more to go...

does anyone know about how much money custom halfshafts would run for this and where would be the best place to get them custom fabbed from? im thinking that this mightbe one of the most expensive parts of the swap and am trying to figure out how much most of this is going to cost, to figure out if i have the funds to start a project like this.

well, the Drive Shaft Shop sells "Performance shafts" for the Accord and Prelude for 299.00.

I would guess add about $100 per shaft for custom lengths.

                we could always inquire

wow i was expecting them to be much more, i guess this whole thing i have been thinking that it would cost much more. im goign to have to inquire about some custom lengths. Time to learn how to weld on my MIG welder, and go to town. What do you guys think this whole thing would cost? 3-4k? i would think that it could be less depending on what engine you get and what not. if it is around this price, i could complete this task if i have all of the necessary knowledge .

edit: i just looked at the website and the no warranty is kinda ill do some more reaserch tomarrow after school to see if i can find another place that can make some custom ones

3-4K sounds about right, probably more in the 4k range. No matter how well planned out this swap would be there would be plenty of crap that would break/not fit and there WILL be problems getting it to work. That's also just accounting for the engine to get in there and driving the wheels, not including suspension upgrades and break upgrades to accomodate for the increased power. Hell, why not just shoot for the moon with a J35 AWD Accord

Someone could make a bell housing to mount a nice subby STi AWD tranny to a j35 but then again its not all Honda, too bad honda doesn't have an awd tranny besides the sh-awd as far as i know, and i kinda would like a manual but this could be done too

Whoever makes a J block to K tranny adapter kit will become very rich. I think that would be easier to do than to try and get the J into the CB. A 6th gen V6 with a 6 speed K-series tranny sounds really good to me.
