I will assure you, the main point of putting a V6-6speed in a CB is not to make it handle bad. The elegance would be in the suspension/brake setup.

      Just ew.
You must've not driven a J-series V6-powered Honda yourself. Just because the motor is gonna be dropped in the CB, doesn't mean one would just leave the car itself. Like lokuputha said, the brakes and suspension will be different.

to help with the wirring API makes a full harness for $450

edit: you want a motor out of a pilot

the 02-04 odyssey and 04 piolt dont have drive by wire, single port exhaust, variable cylinder management, and can use a 6spd
and they are 240hp, btw this clears a civic hood, so it should clear ours
this makes it simple to swap over once the mounts and harness is in place
also the 6spd uses cable transmission so you would have use a 03 four cylinder accord shifter and make a custom mounting plate

also would need stiff springs up front to hood the weight of the motor

          You don't need a pilot V6.

The non DBW TB can be fitted to any J series, even the DBW ones. Also, IIRC the Pilot engine has the longer runner/taller IM and would need to have that changed to fit the CB7's engine bay.

Plus, the exhaust setup isn't a big deal, as even the ones with single ports have high flow options available, and they were optimized in other ways to make more power.

IMO, the most desireable J series would be the J35 from the TL-S, RL, or new Accord V6 6 speed. Lots of torque, lots of power, fairly available etc.

All of the J series will bolt up to the 6 speed manual.

in the mag they take the spacer out
            they recommend:
            j32a1
            j32a3
            j35a1
j35a4-one used in the swap(makes 240hp on 87octane, also lowest price)

all the rest have that drive by wire and i vtec shit

plus the way they swapped it into the civic looks like a cakewalk

Don't believe everything you read in a 3 page mag article. The best J series are the ones I listed.

One of the main reasons API and Hasport recommended those was the "sound" even though that is subjective, and the common downpipe ones sound great.

They are newer, have higher redlines for the displacement, make a lot more power and a lot more torque. Change the TB, and you are done. There aren't really any other issues than the TB.

Good luck trying to find one first of all. 07+ MDX is the only car you'd be lucky to find a donor from and that's damn near impossible anyway. Even if you could find it, it's going to cost an arm and a leg and have an auto transmission mated to it.

Just some advice man, listen to owequitit. The amount of money you would spend getting a J37 is not worth it vs. going out and picking up a J35.

maybe you should read it again
ive been the one saying a j37 would not be worth it
the best way to do this swap for cheap is the j35
