    ok........my friend is lookin at a manual cb and i ahve a auto.....but he wants an auto and i manual...........i no the auto to manual is fairly overviewd in the forms, but what would it b like to swap manual for auto?

    Just the reverse I assume, though can't say I've seen it done either.

    I suppose just trading cars isn't an option?

      lol.........the thing aboot that is that his is in worse condition...like paint wise, but hes only got 95xxx miles!

        Converting from manual to auto is not just the reversal. There are too many little things that needs to be added. First and foremost is wiring, the headaches that goes along with it is not worth it. Considering the prices of automatic cb7's.

              hmmmmmmm..........well i thought it would b good cause i would have gotten a free manual...........could a shop do the auto one for the right amount of money

                I'm sure a shop could do the manual to auto for the right amount of money, but I'm thinking that it would be in excess of actually going out and buying a comparable auto CB7. But you have to consider that the interior harness is completely different. You also would have to wire up the TCU, Auto shifter (lots of wiring there), new cruise control module and a crapload of other stuff. In the end, it is DEFINITELY not worth it.
