Has anyone here have had a tranny swap

I was wondering if anyone on this board, have had there Auto CB7 changed to a 5spd? If you have, did you get it done professionally or did you do it by yourself? Is it hard?

I have gotten the auto to manual swap done to my car. I had it done by a shop. It cost around $700 for labor. All of the parts cost me $500. It's actually not as hard as people think. I think that the wiring is probably the hardest part of the swap.

Did you have to change your Gauge Cluster to a manual clutser?

Yea, I just kept my auto cluster in there. I plan on chaging it to a manual cluster sometime in the future.

word... it is time consuming especialy if you are performing it when you are not swapping the f22. It is much easier getting it done along with an engine swap since everything has to be taken out during the process.

and use the search function. There is a sticky on this on top of the forum.
