    H22 Tune Up

I just got an H22 swap on my 92 accord. So when I go to get like basic tune up components such as spark plugs at pep boys, what year prelude should I give them. Can I just say 93 prelude?

You get the plugs for the year eng you have, there a link somewhere in here for that.

Search for it. Really not hard. Buy tune up parts for your specific engine model other than other stuff like fuel filter and crap. YOu gotta get accord for that. Seals are a recommended change if your swapping it in.

You can say that... I usually just do a search find out the parts and then order what I need based on the part not the car. What year is your h22? Give them that year and the part.

1993 Honda Prelude: A high-performance VTEC edition joined the lineup, with a 190-horsepower twin-cam version of the 2.2-liter base engine. VTEC Preludes rode larger wheels and tires. Both the VTEC and the Si 4WS had dual airbags.

this is ofcourse the US version

Just ask for parts for a 92-96 prelude VTEC. The autoparts store will show it on the computer. This is all standard info.

                          ...adjust accordingly

just to be in the safe side just say your looking for 95 prelude vtec parts. theyre all the same for your basic tune up. jdm or usdm.

with my old car, the idiots at crappozone just keep asking if its a 2.2 and end up giving me f22 parts. theyre soo stupid sometimes.

but when you look for parts make sure you say you have a prelude and you need the 2.2VTEC parts. or theyll give you some bullshit that you dont need.

                            sometimes i even say i have a 97 prelude.

just beware if you tell them you have a 93-96 prelude DOHC they might give you H23 parts. Thats why I order my stuff direct from the same guy with all my engine needs @ honda....
