you can bore, port and polish, and buy an expensive header and intake manifold for the B/H/F/D series engines to make the exhaust flow better, but after all that itll just basically match up with the stock exhaust flow of k series motor. k series just flows better and transverse engines is how its done now. K motors also respond better to bolt ons thus making more power with I/H/E rather then your H22 with an I/H/E.

swap a stock k20a type-s onto a civic hatch and that shit will run 12s all day.

few of my homeboys already done it.

i wanted the F20B but the availabilty in parts is rare. Theres an underground team in japan who tunes and makes parts for F20Bs but youd have to find it in japan only. You cant even use the jun cams on them. But it is a freeway monster. My homeboy alex (starkrice) stomps on all kinds of cars on the freeway.

H22A type-s signing in.. or, used to, after the block cracked wide open...

wud eat B16 civics on any given day, eventho im running an auto..

the basic H22 has lots of potential.. shitloads of potential.. cams, regrind, P&P, a good exhaust, u wud easily gain 20HP...

          K24? nah, i stick to my H22..

Getting even a K24 in an Accord would cost more than a Type-S.

If you can get it for ~3K with the M2B4 tranny it's definitely worth it over the regular H, although making more power from it is harder...

personally id rather keep the f22 for street then get a boosted h22 for the track. with the wieght of our cars id rather not swap in a K series. dont our cars wiegh more than the TLs and TSX? or am i wrong?(not wait. stupid question. lmao)

either way. id keep the F and H series. too many people want to swap those motors. just like people swaping the RB26's into the 240's. and H22's into the CRX and civics. no one does that just for the tuning purposes or b/c its something they wanted to do. they only do it now b/c its whats good at the track.

if you want a swap to do. try something someone hasnt done yet. like an EVO motor or SR20DET into a cb7. THAT would be different. dont follow the crowd. just my .02

I worded that wrong...M2B4 with the Type-S motor. Although the Type-S/Euro-R come with LSD trannys with better gearing than the M2B4.

That makes sense. That wording threw me off.

I dunno personally i just love the look of the older honda motors. The H/F/D/B series motors. I love the look of all the mechanics. The K Series motors have alot hidden. I'm not gonna try too claim the H/F/D/B series is better than the K. I just think for our cars and alot of cars the older motors just have a cooler look.

Hmm from what I have read they have the LSD trans. Might be thinkin of the R or Si civic for some reason. Oh well. I'll double check on that.

On ebay u can swap in a k20 for the same price as a type s and get an extra 40hp rather than 20 i believe, plus that nice i-vtec. sure u have to goto obd3 but i say its worth it. and i probably will drop that into my own cb7 probably in 2008/2009 so watch out.
