kind of surprising that no one seems to realize that the Type-S engine also has ATTS....that right there is more than enough to kill the install.

if it is a type-s it has ATTS...always. and yes you can work around it.....how many here know how to weld and fabricate well enough to make their own bracket??? Besides dutch that is....
the Sir S-spec is a normal transmission.
thing is if you buy a type-s swap you hav eto dump the atts tranny, buy a base tranny then pay someone to fabricate a bracket OR if you are dutchaccord you make your own....in the end you spend a lot more time and hassle just getting it to run right. and that is before you even get to thinking about the fact that the extra money could go farther with a base h22.

Well never mind now you guys i already bought a h22, they sold it to me for $500 no tranny just motor. Now i'm looking for a h22 lsd tranny, where can i find type s pistons? and wich ecu can i use on it?
I was going for the F20B for $1300 form hmotorsonline, but after making some moves today i went to see the h22 for $500 and it looked good my mechanic is gonna check it out fully before i give the guy the money. motor has 84,XXX miles on it.
I'm happy but sad and the same time

This is the most strangest misconception though. After watching everyone talk and say how expensive a type s swap is for those of you that have or dont have the swap. Dont be mislead on where or who is selling them. Ive got mine for 1,500 with the reciept. I had my own tranny if I would have gotten the motor with the tranny 1,200-1,300 more. So its not all that expensive as most of you may think. And as far as the buck for the mile goes, honda put more engineering on the motor to keep it as reliable from the factory as can be without the major issues. so if your looking for type s motors and they cost 4,000 from where your getting it from then shame on you try to find a more reliable source.

And that would be bad for you for business aswell as underminding the friendship that you and your boy has. I mean atleast you can go back to royal and tell em what happened and go up in there and get what you want. I would go for the best deal I can get but I will also want to protect that investment without any regrets. Thats just me

Active torque transfer system its used in the SH ludes. Apparently you dont know the potential of a Kseries with minor bolt ons and a K pro. YOu should see what people are running and gaining with just that and your basic bolt ons. Once you see that you will know why people want the Kseries. The only problem is the price.
