    F22/H22 distibutor question

I have a stock 91' Accord LX with a dieing distributor (bearings are toast) and I was wondering if a a stock F22 distibutor will fit and work on a H22, or the other way around (H22 on a F22)?

I'm asking because I will be swapping in a H22 very soon but I need a distibutor ASAP for my stock engine. I dont see the point of buying a new distributor for a engine that wont be in the car for more than a couple more months if they arent interchangable. So let me know, I did some searching and didnt come up with anything. I just mainly want to know if there is a distributor I can put on my stock F series for the time being and still be able to use it when I do my H22 swap. If not I guess its off to the junkyard with crossed fingers to find a stock distributor.

    No.

    The housings are different.

Thanks, I searched and didnt find anything saying that. I'm mostly a B series guy and I know a B series vtec will still fit a non vtec, hoping it was the same for H/F series. Oh well.

All the H/F DOHC distributors are interchangeable, but the SOHC ones are not.

Usually people transfer the guts from the F into the H22A dizzy if the H22 dizzy is bad.

the housings and the actual shaftthingy are not interchangable. but if you want to swap out the internals(all wires, coil, ignition module) you can do it. just be careful on which wire goes where.

thing is, if I bought a new distributor it would be one with a lifetime warranty so there is no way I could do that and keep the warranty. I'll just get one from a junk yard, saw a couple accord last time I was there, and hope it works until I can do my H22 swap.
