thats the same car from the honda tuning mag, yea it looks good and runs on better technology but im not too impressed by the k24's because its wild expensive for no reason and too much work when h22's are dropins with the same or more power

Speaking with my Honda mechanic who races Honda's himself...he says the K series motors are much better compared to the earlier gen motors mainly b/c they have that much more potential. Larger valves...better fluid dynamics, internal timing chain, larger ports, better breathing, more flexibility...so on and so forth...it would definately be a good swap into our cars...

There was a TSX at the shop at the time I was talking to him and it only had a Hondata KPro ECU, new cams, I/H/E and it was pulling something like 240+ hp to the wheels...thats pretty good in my books...plus that motor sounds oh soo sweet

I still think it would be a waste to put one in a CB7. Just buy a TSX or newer Accord.

You will never get what you paid for it.
I mean, the motor alone would cost you in upwards of $4000.

I thought we had this discussion before. The K series is the next generation of Honda motors. It is just as reliable if not more then the F series. Don't hate on it because you wouldn't do it on a car, does it mean its not worth it? If the owner think so thats all that matters. Stockwise, put an H22 against a K20 (type S) and add the I/H/E followed by a tune and chipped and see which engine has a greater output. Fabbing into a car is a different story which I'd rather not get into as it has been discussed. Why would they put a K series engine into an old chassis? Same reason members here are modding their cars. Although modding depreciates value to a car its a hobby and people enjoy it. Because you wouldn't do it doesn't mean its wrong or shouldn't be done.

K24 aint expensive unless you get a TSX one. The CRV one are pretty cheap. Anyways I love the K the only downfall is the price. You will be amazed at how much power a Kpro can extract even out of a stock motor.

The 160 of your car does not compare exactly to the 166 of the new ones.

They changed the measuring method for 2006.

For instance, the J30A4 is rated at 240HP and the J30A5 is rated at 244HP. Realistically, when measured using the same SAE method, the J30A5 is rated closer to 255HP.

And yes, I completely agree. V6 Accord for the win. Plus the backend on the 06+ just fits the overall design much better.

So far nobody has noticed that it's 6spd... mmmm yeah it's not the easiest thing to do, but it wouldn't be too hard or expensive to get over 200hp to the wheels, almotor without building it or boosting and did I mention 6spd?

                        hmm true.

*side note* you LIKE the new rear ends?? ugh, i love the 03-05 sedans the best, well actually the 05's the best with the all red tails. the new sedans look terrible IMO, i dont know why i think the trunk looks too big lol. i have an 05 and im staying with it, jsut going from Eternal Blue Pearl to Graphite Pearl and leather.

                        back on topic.

H22 is so easy in our cars i would go with that until the idea of a k series in our cars is a little more realistic.

Yeah, I actually like the rear end TONS better than the old one.

The all red tails helped, but to me it looked like they left the rear end of a Buick under a hot lamp too long. It was decidedly unsporty.

I also like the dual chrome exhaust finishers, the LED taillights and the integrated center stop light.

It has a greater cohesiveness of design. Whereas the 03-05 had a bubbly upslope look to the rear end, which truncated in an angular and droopy but,

The overall charachter lines are maintained throughout the entire car in the new one.

Plus, in person especially, the rearend doesn't look too big for the car, it is proportioned perfectly. IMO.

I also like the more agressive look of the new front fascia.

I also like the revised steering wheel and guage cluster better (looks more tech cool IMO) and the DRL's are a nice safety feature.

                            I knew it was a 6 speed.

its not about power... how many H22 swapped accords do you see? how many K swapped accords do you see?? not only that.. the K20 head flows more than an H22 ported to hell and back.. the K responds a hell of a lot more than the H22 for mods alone.

If your looking for the most power stop modding honda's. you are modding a honda for a reason, to do it your way, to get what you want out of the car.

I used to own a 2001 mustang cobra with 4.30's and a 75 shot of nitrous.. lets see a swapped H accord with even a 60 trim turbo on 15 psi keep up with it... there is a reason why i sold the cobra. i like honda's, don't care about how fast my car is.. just want it my way and hopefully along the way get props for what i'm doing. its all personal preference... IMO
