    HELP ASAP!!! F22b swap

ok, mines is a 90 ex 4dr auto that we are swapping to a stick and putting the f22b tranny and f22b engine in. My problem is that the mount for the 5spd is making the crank pulley hit the frame, so is there anything im missing as to what tranny mount to use???? Need help on this one fast guys. Thanks!

Well I did a f22b dohc swap but used a 94 SOHC vtec tranny, but from experience, you use the tranny mount for the original car that the motor came in, therefore, I would use a prelude H23 mount. Try that it should work

i just did a h23 swap in my 92 accord, you need to use the prelude mount on the pass side so the crank pulley wont hit, i also had to change out the rear mount bracket

since you are converting from a automatic your stock tranny mount bracket (the part on the frame) will not work with the prelude/5th gen accord manual transmission mount or the cb7 manual transmission mount. you could use about 1/2 inch of washers on the driverside mount, or you weld the stock manual transmission bracket onto the frame and tap the tranny to work with the stock cb7 manual transmission mount, or you could wait till the auto to manual mount is made by the esp-net dude.

might want to check again, i have my accord out in my driveway that will prove you wrong, also more people on here have also used the same thing, prelude mount on tranny/prelude with stock accord auto bracket.

there is about 1/2 inch difference up and 1/2 inch difference over between the automatic mount found in 90-97 accords and preludes, and the manual mount found in 94-97 accords and preludes. do as I said and I bet your problem will dissapear

yo i just did my auto to 5 spd conversion and a h22 swap at the same time. i also had the same problem. just put 3/8inch to 1/2inch thick washers to lower the motor off the wall and your pully wont rub.put a jack under the motor and take out the mount. lower the motor to where the pulley doesnt hit and then put the spacers and put the mount on top of the spacers. and bolt in.
if you got something smart to say, guess what, i dont care.

As you said, the Prelude or 94-97 manual transmission mount will work.

It will also bolt up using the stock hole, but it will be very close to the driver's side frame rail (won't quite touch though).

You are going to need 3/8" worth of spacers on the driver's side mount, to bring the nose of the engine down so that it sits level.

Ideally, you would also redrill the hole on the tranny bracket to move the tranny mount to where it needs to be. This will give you proper spacing between the crank pulley and frame rail.

Not redrilling the hole, should still allow the crank pulley to clear the frame, but you won't even be able to get the drive belts in there.

Or, you can remove the old frame rail bracket, purchase a manual tranny frame rail bracket, and weld that one on in it's place.

Your easiest bet would be to move the hole IMO.
